ATTORNEY JOB OPENING


Workers' Compensation Remotely Based 


Job Summary


 A job opening for an Attorney with workers' compensation experience is available. The Attorney will manage defense litigation cases, conduct discovery, attend depositions, and resolve legal disputes, including working with clients to build relationships and provide excellent results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and dependability, which will be highly valued. The position is on a remote basis after a period of in-office training.


Required Education and Experience


  • JD from an accredited law school 
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Illinois 
  • At least three years of workers’ compensation experience

Salary Offered 


  • Up to $130,000 yearly salary based on experience. Offered salary does not included bonuses (bonus available based on monthly billable hour requirement)


Work Location 


  • Office headquarters located in Oak Brook, IL (the job will be remotely based after in-office training)


Work Schedule 


  • 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday (remotely)


License/Certifications


  • Illinois State Bar License (Required)


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's management systems
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Efficiency in time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Understanding of Illinois Workers’ Compensation law 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Work as a team in defense of work-injury cases
  • Work closely with other attorneys on legal projects
  • Regularly handle court appearances and trials
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
